Our Mission
MIMO (mind-in, mind-out) exists to support people in reconnecting with themselves gently, accessibly, and at their own pace.
Rooted in trauma-informed care and modern neuroscience, MIMO is being created to support a new way of functioning - both individually and collectively - through an interpersonal neurobiological lens. This means we understand healing not as something that happens in isolation, but as something shaped by the brain, the body, relationships, and the environments we move through every day.
Through education, reflection, and practical tools, we support inner integration, nervous system awareness, emotional resilience, and healthier relationships - especially for those who have felt unseen, overwhelmed, or disconnected from traditional models of care.
Our mission is to make healing less intimidating, more embodied, and deeply human.
What We Offer
Right now, MIMO offers a growing blog that explores trauma, attachment, nervous system regulation, relationships, and self-understanding through a neuroscience-informed lens.
We’re also building tools that go a step further - helping people understand how they function, not just what they feel.
Domains of Integration Testing
If you’re new to Interpersonal Neurobiology, here’s the simple version:
Domains of integration describe different areas of how the mind works - such as how you process emotions, relate to others, connect your thoughts and feelings, respond to stress, and make sense of your experiences over time.
Our upcoming Domains of Integration testing is designed to help you:
- Identify areas where you feel more balanced or resilient
- Notice areas where you may feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or reactive
- Better understand why certain patterns keep showing up in your life or relationships
Rather than labeling you or placing you into a box, this approach offers a map - one that helps you understand what kind of support may actually fit you.
How This Helps You Find the Right Therapist
Many people struggle to find therapy that truly helps - not because they’re “doing it wrong,” but because the approach isn’t aligned with how they function.
By understanding your own integration patterns, you’re better equipped to:
- Seek therapists whose methods align with your needs
- Avoid trial-and-error therapy experiences
- Feel more informed, empowered, and collaborative in your care
As MIMO grows, we’re developing a vetting framework for therapists who practice within an IPNB-informed approach - meaning they understand the brain, the nervous system, relationships, and context as interconnected, not separate.
